Welcome to The Dragonfly Art for Life. This is a working art studio for artists everywhere. We have open space for artists to come and create. Member benefits include use of the facility and materials during operating hours. We offer both private and group classes. Classes include Drawing, Painting in both Watercolor and Acrylic, Digital Art and Animation in addition to Mixed Media, Printmaking, Portrait Art, Anime, Awareness through Art, Activities in Painting and Preschool Process Art. A new sewing studio has been added with both beginning and ongoing classes as well as open studio.
Take time out for to reconnect creatively in a mindful activity that supports both growth and healing.

Join us as we move forward to provide unique and engaging classes for students on site. We offer classes for students TK-8 and After School Programs as well. We have partnered with local schools as well as Girl Scouts this past year.

Classes in acrylic, watercolor, animation, printmaking, charcoal, sewing, and more. Surfaces include canvas, watercolor paper, pastel paper, wood, mixed media and sewing/textile art.

Barbara opened The Dragonfly Art for Life in November 2018 and has been an advocate for art in the community for a number of years. Providing an open-air concept, and welcoming artists with all levels of experience, Barbara has created an oasis that promotes self-care, and healing through the creative process.
With degrees in Art, Child Development and a Master's in Education, Barbara has been a longtime advocate for Art in Education.

Meet Patrick Barr, our teaching instructor and partner here at the studio. Patrick comes to us with more than 20 years experience as a professional artist. With a background that includes The Academy of Art College and Disney Animation Studios, Pat has experience not only as an animator and illustrator but as a teacher for many years here in the Central Valley. Join Pat as he shares his passion for art with students on a daily basis.

Meet Lalaine, our newest employee here at the studio! Lalaine has been teaching classes at the studio for over a year while taking classes as an Illustration major. She loves teaching kids of all ages!

Batman (AKA Dumpster Kat) is our resident studio cat! He enjoys laying in the windows on sunny days, chasing felt toys, and examining your art in progress! Beloved by all, check out his wall.
